Hike at Ya Ha Tinda Ranch 2019

On March 9, the ladies from the dance group met up in Sundre and headed out to Ya Ha Tinda Ranch for a beautiful winter hike. In the summer, the ranch is a place to camp and horseback ride. In the winter, it is a quiet and serene place to connect with friends in nature.

As we drove out to the ranch, we were excited to see some wild horses including a stallion up on a hillside. Once we arrived, we started our afternoon off with roasted würst over the campfire. We then headed up into the hills where our president, Daniela, showed us around.

We enjoyed views of a frozen waterfall, turquoise lake, and snowy hillsides. We even saw tracks from what we think must have been a cougar!

After our hike, we enjoyed more time by the campfire, eating, drinking tea, singing, and enjoying each other’s company. It was a fantastic sunny day—we couldn’t have asked for better weather or better company!
